If you're looking for a more leisurely sailing experience but fancy a dabble into racing too then the cruiser group in the Club might be for you.
The larger cruising boats tend to keep you further from the water and for some that's exactly what they are looking for. With a large diversity of yachts across the group its a great way to experience sailing in lots of different boats. Like many of our adult course trainees the cruisers are a place some of them choose to call home, with many choosing to soak up the occasional summer sun (and the odd wave over the deck) long after the courses have finished.
Sailing in the cruiser fleets let you get the chance to learn sailing at a pace that suits you and the cruiser group are a well travelled bunch who are always keen to share a story and a drink. Make no mistake however, they are a competitive bunch too and the racing fleet enjoys a healthy dose of club racing throughout the year. The more adventurous cruising group like to mix the season up with various cruise in company's to local locations up and down the coast and even as far afield as the UK and France.
