About Us
As the oldest sailing club on Dublin's northside, CY&BC preserves our maritime legacy through encouraging all kinds of boating activities, including wooden boat building as seen on RTÉ's Nationwide. Centrally located, CY&BC is used by a growing range of local sports, community and disability groups.
A member of the Irish Sailing Association and winner of the East Region Training Centre of the Year, CY&BC has a growing youth section and provides water and shore-based training to adults as well as juniors.
Focusing on making sailing and boating more accessible, volunteers facilitate Fishing Days for the Central Remedial Clinic and St. Michael's House; an annual Sail Against Suicide; Sing for Simon; charity and community events like the Aware 'Harbour to Harbour' Charity Walk and Bart's Bash a global fundraising event for disabled sailing; annual fundraiser for the RLNI with our Christmas Day Swim and annual RLNI auction. CY&BC also provides rescue boats and volunteers for events such as Focus Ireland 'All in a Row' on the River Liffey.
