This meeting is a get together to look at two of previous films of Canal trips taken by the Club starting with the first journey in 1961 and one of the three recent trips we took on the inland waterways.
Green & Silver from Clontarf slip down the Royal Canal to the Shannon and back up the Grand Canal and back to the slip. The Clontarf Yacht Club Boats were one of the first to complete trip on the re opening of the Royal Canal since the 1960s. The Inland Waterways made a special presentation to Boats number 4,5 & 6 who completed this trip, the first since the 1960s
The Barrow trip down the Grand Canal and down the Barrow to New Ross step the masts and sail back to Dublin
Dublin to Belturbet via the Royal Canal
Come along and find out more details on traveling the inland waterways and we will gauge the interest for a trip in 2020.
There was a great selection of boats used on our previous trips- E Boats , Bilge Keeler, Ribs , Club Committee boats , Canoes / Kayaks , Currachs, IDRAs & a Evolution 28 and others opted to cycle along the tow path with us.
